Thanks Nana,

Epson V700. It does an okay job. I make a grid pattern of guide lines in PS, and view each square in the grid at 100% or more. I remove unwanted elements like dust and spots, etc from each square one at a time using a Wacom tablet. It takes time, but the resulting image is pretty clean.

I'm sure there is a better way, but I don't trust using filters or other techniques that are applied to the entire image.

Well, I own the v700 too, but I couldn't never get a result like that with my Velvia and Provia 4x5" images....I suspect that's because my photos aren't so good as yours, in the firts place!!!!!
