As I understand it, they are the only mountain 'range' to be completely contained within a national park boundary. An old caldera, I believe.

Are you referring to the Superstitions? If so, I will have to research that. Never heard that before. Possible though, AZ us one big Volcanic field.

No, the Chisos. They are all within Big Bend Natl Park.
