This is how we in Arcata forecasted the weather for years. If the pulp mills' smoke from their stacks (7 miles away across the bay) were leaning to the south, good weather ahead. The smoke was leaning to the north (or if you could smell them), then rain was on the way. But after awhile I realized that a more simple method exists..."If you can't see the stacks, then it is raining. If you can see them, then it is going to rain."

This is some disused Mine buildings in Cornwall, England. The sea is just visible in the background but unfortunately the fog/haze mostly obscured it but I was still pleased with the result.

I like how the composition's two main diagonals frame the trees.

They're inside the triangle.

I'm curious if that's the "Hidden Valley" they're looking down into. Nice Scottish series.

Unfortunately not...the trees are looking down into the main Glencoe Valley. The "Hidden Valley" is further up, over my left hand shoulder as I took the image.
