    Hi Alen,
Very nice shot. The color is nicely saturated and the exposure is well balanced. As I said, well done.
I have a friend that recently visited The Pinnacles. It left an impression on her.
    Regards

    Marty

Thanks Jmarmck & Steven, encouraged to hear that

I was both relieved and pleased to have got this result, cant wait to get this on print and see it in its final form.

Thought I'd share this snowy landscape I took last month in Switzerland. Had to do a fair amount of post processing to darken the river and the foreground, and to lighten the shaded trees in the center. Captured with a Chamonix F1, on TX320, using a Fujinon W 125mm f5.6.

Painted Desert. First every 4x5, taken last year. Still lots to learn.

Thanks for the kind words. I’m calling it “Lone Tree”. The composition just screamed out to me. That certainly doesn’t happen often enough sadly. I’m commissioning Calvin Grier at www.thewetprint.com to make a Carbon Print of it for me. Can’t wait.

Thanks, yes it could. I went with a barely altered linear scan in the end, just tightened it up slightly with a levels layer. The best thing about large format film is the smooth contrast, hard to achieve with digital.
