How to transport 8x10 sheet film to the lab

And my next noob question is:

How do I get my 8x10 sheets to the lab to be developed? Do I need to have an empty box and film package laying around and put film into there, is it ok that they touch etc? I searched around but couldn't find an answer.

Re: How to transport 8x10 sheet film to the lab

I unload my holders into the film box in which the film was packaged for sale.

Haven't had scratching problems so far, but then I don't throw a hand full of dirt inside the box.

Make sure you close up the two inside boxes the same way the film come packaged do you maintain the light trap.
When I grow up, I want to be a photographer.
