It is at Antelope Point Marina at Page just north of the Antelope Canyon tourist attractions. This spot would normally be under water but the lake very low. The rock has a white coating (Fe+3) from being submerged. It was flaking off in many places exposing the normal red sandstone. Interesting contrast. The complexity of the geology here is interesting.

Yes the water is dropping revealing lots of cool Canyon country that was there before the lake. The geology is fascinating. I highly recommend The Maze if you've never been. Phenomenal

Messing around with the digi cam. Highest ISO and basic color and tonal adjustments. Exposure compensation +4 and hand held.

edit: I forgot to say the sky is very overcast and the bar shadows are very diffuse. If it was sunny I likely would have taped an additional frost to the window to diffuse the hard shadows, or whatever got it mostly shadowless. I used a piece of frost I had available but most any white material would likely have done the job.

    Same basic set-up, different onion.
