This is a bit weird. I looked up the super tak, confirmed it likely refers to the pentax 50. The weird part is that I have an old Honeywell Spotmatic Pentax - so I had to go look at the lens. Yup. 1.4 Its absolutely clear I need to put a roll through that keepsake. It was an Aunt's camera that stunned me as a child - with how cool it looked. That's what got me interested in photography originally. If that lense is all that's said about it - it would be worth buying a camera that mounted it if this old honeywell Pentax isn't healthy. Very weird. Other people make finds like that (in their closet no less)- not me.
I still have my Honeywell Spotmatic w/50mm f1.4 lens, purchased new in 1970. It's a good camera/lens setup at just about any aperture, but start shooting wide open and you won't believe your eyes.

scheinfluger - thank you. I always saw Pentax as capable, but not particularly noteworthy. Like most makers, they usually have a lens that hits it way out of the park & it sounds like Pentax did w/ this 50. What better lens do do it with? If I'm understanding Scott correctly, he has adapted that lens to a Canon digital? I don't know if anyone would know if this is possible also to a Nikon mount? Would it be worth it? 'Makes me wonder if some of the 6x7 lens are favorably comparable to the zeiss glass for the 'blad - to get a similar satisfaction w/ MF.

Hiho, Yes the pentax, super takumar 50/1.4. I have it mounted on the 5D with an adapter. The only downside is the mirror hits at infinity so I have to back off a tad. But I mostly shoot close up stuff with it.

Wicked nice results, Scott. 'Not just these recent ones.
When I see 35mm that looks outstanding, I keep wanting to hone my work w/ 35. 'A bit more demanding 'cause any imperfection is writ large.
You've learned to do alot of stuff right to get such consistent results. There's not many guys that do that w/ 35.

Found some interesting textures while visiting with a friend yesterday.
Shot on my Samsung Galaxy S4 (phone), b/w conversion done on my computer, however.
I printed this out to it's native size, 5x10" @300dpi, and it looks pretty good. NOT actual "camera quality", but I might have to return with an actual film camera and shoot a few more frames of this.
