Been reading Macro NIKON for hours and looking at all options
The 2X Z Teleconverter only works on Z 70-200, interference with other Z glass
Lots of used NIKON Micro on eBay. I am going to try and wait for the Z 105 MACRO, they dropped Micro
A couple thoughts, the lens will be used on DX Z until NIKON makes an attractive Z FF, giving me 150mm, lightweight, bright video eyescreen, really good AF!
The Z 105 MACRO already went up $100! this week

The AF Micro-Nikkor 105mm/2.8D is a fantastic lens. I also have the AF Micro-Nikkor 60mm/2.8D, but have no film examples with it, as I bought it mostly for a backup digitizing system (with D850 and ES-2). I don't really know a thing about the Z system, but if the adaptor for using F lenses doesn't lose any functionality I'd have no hesitation about getting the older 105mm.
And to justify giving such an opinion in an image sharing thread, I'll just have to admit to having a pair of these:
F6, Micro 105/2.8, Adox CHS 100 II, Rodinal 1+25, Nikon 9000 scan.
Now you're cooking, Roger! This is terrific; shadow really works.
Hope all goes well with you. Can't believe two years have passed since we met at Jan's gallery.
Best,
Merg
Tin Can,
When you absolutely insist on owning only one camera.
...Dilettante! Who you calling a Dilettante?
