    Inverted. I use to have this problem when working with imagery. The mind becomes confused with what is up and what is down. It called a figure/ground issue.

    After a few days of bright sun, a bit of cloud appeared today and the light became more diffuse and manageable. I revisited a building that I hadn't seen for a few years - it's still looking good.
