Me not know. However I would think it a safe wager to say both lenses at the same aperture would be almost impossible to tell apart.

I bought a junker Kodak No.34 8˝" f4.5 lens to rob the shutter and then was about to sell the remains on Ebay. So I thought perhaps an image made with the lens might help. Found out the decaying glass was giving it some "special" help. This is on 8X10 Aviphot 200 film shot wide open.

Nothing wrong with that, now is there?!
Coincidentally, today I received a 10” f4.5 Kodak Anastigmat barrel lens I paid $50 for. I had to take it apart to clean the glass surfaces, but it is pretty much spotless. I did some 5x7 test plates this afternoon but haven’t scanned them yet. I used it wide open and it was quite sharp in the places it was meant to be. I think I’m going to like it. Some of the old uncoated lenses work beautifully with the wet plate process.

Breaking in a NEW soft focus lens today. I'll just show images and not throw lens names around. I was favorably impressed. The ground glass was telling me this lens has a ton of possibilities. And when I pulled the 5 quick 8X10's out of the soup, I was pretty excited. See what y'all think. These are just grabs from upstairs in my messy studio. Just something to have a first look.

These need to go together to give an idea of how firm this lens gets @f22

I get it. These are for pretty serious soft focus geeks. That's why I didn't waste a bunch of space in other threads.
