Today was my last day at work, I'm officially retired. So no excuses for me, I need to get busy on some images.
Thank you Jim and congrats on your retirement !

In celebration, here is an image from a Antique 4X5 Achromatic Meniscus Lens in modern Copal Shutter I purchased from you a few years ago. Mounted to a 4x5 ShenHao.

Thanks for all the lovely well wishes. I'm inspired. Maybe tomorrow after I fix the dishwasher . . .

    Nice work Time Share!

No old Fords or dusty roads here...

Soft focus and snow and a quiet time in the woods.

Just a study in light with a much under-used, under-rated Ilex Paragon. A 10" with the diffusion front adjustment. Doesn't get much smoother than this.

Who else would waste a sheet of 8X10 film on this?

    Re: post "in Galli style"

I've just caught up with 3 years' worth of scanning, and I took the time to spot an image to make sure everything was ok. I realize I haven't posted any images here in quite some time, I have started experimenting with soft focus after seeing the images in this thread among others. The following image was with a 14.5" Verito, on a new-to-me Gundlach Korona (since my ROC Universal couldn't fit the Verito), using the rear element only, a home-made bed extension, and Galli shutter. I thought there might be some motion blur when I first scanned, but when I did the spotting I saw that there was not, there's quite a lot of detail in the leaves in the shadows. After shooting this, I got myself a sturdier camera (B&J) and changed my tripod head. Shot on 8x10 Agfa double-sided X-ray film.

Beautiful pastoral scene. You've captured a great sense of light.
