Jim, Congratulations on retirement!
Jim, Congratulations on retirement!
“You often feel tired, not because you've done too much, but because you've done too little of what sparks a light in you.”

Congratulations!
Retirement is NOT easy!
Glad you made it!

Congratulations, Jim! Did the little green men give you a retirement present?
I retired a few years back, and I'm as busy as ever. But it's a much more enjoyable busy! Congrats, Jim!
From my refrigerator door:
"I love my Verito lens, but I always have to sharpen everything in Photoshop..."
Welcome to the world of gainfully unemployed.
I hope you are as comfortable and happy here as I have been for the past 30 years.
Jim
OK, Jim. In your honor here's a shot from a lens I found the other day. I put it together for Per's workshop with you in 2009. I tried one shot with it back then and put it away until the other day when it turned up again. I put a couple of sheets of 8x10 Kodak Xray in the holder and took it out for a spin. It is a sort of landscape meniscus (a faint resemblance) and is about 500 mm focal length. It does interesting things. This is wide open at f/9.
As my wife put it when she retired (and I second the motion): 'Now they pay me NOT to work there!'.
Interesting, thanks for the info as I still experimenting and trying to figure things out in the large format world.
