'there's nothing worser than a mercer'
Wouldn't it be fun to be going 75 mph on those rails with a girl holding onto her bonnet for all she's worth. Some guy in a Stutz is trying to catch you!

Ralph Stein in his wonderful book of antique cars relayed the story that when these cars were new, in the Hamptons 100 years ago, the dapper youth would taunt each other thus;
Stutz Bearcat driver; "there's nothing worser than a Mercer" to which the Mercer driver would return; "ya gotta be nuts to drive a stutz.
Stein was there. He was quite old in 1963 when he published his book. I was quite young when my mother bought it for me for Christmas. It's getting to be quite a span. The cars were 50 years old when Stein published the book I have. Now they're 100!
Lovely work, Jim and Emil! Such a wonderful thread, with such great work form lenses cheap and expensive. Now on page one hundred...
I think we should save post #1000 for Jim. The pressure's on, Mr. Galli!
"I love my Verito lens, but I always have to sharpen everything in Photoshop..."
Jim, they built Stutz autos in Indianapolis where the factory still sits.. The have an annual art show there now

I may have to try some FP4+ once I get some more time with my current box of HP5, those last two look like they'd be fantastic printed.
