Could it be the Wollensak Royal Portrait?? Lovely image quality!

You may be onto something. The one lens that got us into trouble out at work when we sent it to re-app (it was tripping their meters because of rare earth glass) was a Wollensak similar to this one ;~'))

OK, the big reveal. All four of you. The lens is a 15" Wollensak Telephoto with the rear group removed and the front facing the film. Cost me $63 bucks with shipping and tax. Don't you love paying tax on yard sale ebay stuff now? With no rear group and reversed direction it becomes an 11" f7 lens. But the shutter can be used as before, just not the aperture scale.

Neat, I was curious as that does look very nice. And bonus, I have an unloved 15" Wolly Tele so...I'll have to see if I can find a shutter it fits in.

Thanks for that info, Jim! There are interesting lenses to be had for under $100 if you care to take a chance occasionally. The 10" f4.5 Kodak Anastigmat I got recently cost me $50 (plus a few bucks for shipping) and it turned out to be far more useful than I imagined.

    kettle with sticks @f22

These need to go together to give an idea of how firm this lens gets @f22

I get it. These are for pretty serious soft focus geeks. That's why I didn't waste a bunch of space in other threads.
These are the types of images I am attempting to get as I fool around with various lens combos. Thanks Jim
