In southwest Utah...
Here's my dead bird photo. I know I have a shot of a dead horse somewhere also, and I'd bet my last polaroids that that horse smelled worse than Eddies horse.
bag of bone, trunyan-bali,
Some great images on this thread. Jeffrey's image from southwest Utah is sublime. Here's an effort from me;
Lake Kussharo, Hokkaido
Toyo 4x5, 90mm Fujinon
Boar Skull..... I hunted this critter, ate the meat, had the head made into a mount, and the skull was bleached..... Taken with 5" modified petzval on 4x5 cropped square as fall off was way too much. Print was made onto FOMA paper, lightly bleached back, lightly sepia toned, and finished in selenium.

Found this guy after I wandered to the top of Ngauruhoe and then down again. Looks like the winter snows had flattened him (her?) out a bit. It was definitely "one with the rocks".

And another...
Skull, Snow
Rim of Mono Lake Basin
Posted image taken with digital camera of a 16x20 silver gelatin print (from 4x5 neg). Unfortunately, this does not show the texture of the snow seen in the actual print.
I almost stepped on this guy -- I was getting a touch of snow blindness, as I left my sunglasses in the car. We were just going to check this area out and ended up photographing for several hours. I had to wear my darkcloth over my head a peak out of a small opening to reduce the glare of the sun off the snow.

Remains of dinner. Dead but enjoyed.
