Anza-Borrego Desert, Selected Images Show

Howdy Everyone,

From October 15th through December 14th, I'll be showing a small selection of images from my Anza-Borrego portfolio at Carol's Hungry Mind Cafe in Middlebury, Vermont (http://www.carolshungrymindcafe.com/). The nine images on display feature examples of my large format film and digital work from California's largest state park. If you're in the area, please stop in and have a look. Interestingly, I was expecting landscapes, yet there were so few images of the Anza Borrego Desert itself. I do go there often, as one may see on my site.

At first I was disappointed, because that was the expectation I had (always dangerous!). But, moments later, your imaging gave me a fresh view of new types of interest to be found there I had not explored. I'd say Mission Accomplished.

You're right. It's a long haul from Vermont, but I've got family who have a cabin in Anza-Borrego, so the trips are dual-purpose: I get to hang out and drink beer with my relatives AND have access to an incredible photo subject.

There's also the additional benefit of having a warm place to escape to during the long Vermont winters.
