    PyrocatHD and fomapan 100 suggestions

Anyone rotary process fomapan 100 in pyrocat HD? I'd like to start doing my 8x10 this way in BTZS type tubes.

Can anyone make a suggestion of what works well for them, where I can start my testing?

I know I can't have the best of all worlds but I would like my negatives to be printable on silver papers and have some chance of printing them in Pt/Pd.

You will find the development times rather short.

With constant rotation at 70 degF in Pyrocat 1+2+100, my negs come out about right after 6-7 minutes for Grade 2 silver paper, for a roughly N scene.

Really beautiful film BTW. I'm guessing you could build ample contrast for alternative processes by adding a minute or two at most.

    ...forgot to mention:

For this combination, I find I need to rate the film no higher than EI50 to get satisfactory shadow detail.

Christopher, I use pyrocat hd at 1+1+100 with fomapan 100 for 7 minutes rated at iso 50 in a jobo cpe2+. Rather short, but that's what I came up with after testing.

Erik, what kind of contrast range does that give you?

Yeah, though I have a tendency to treat everything I do as a scientific pursuit. I guess that's what happens when I come from a family with more degrees than children.:P
