Carrying case options for 8x10 kodak 2D

So, what to y'all carry your 8x10 kodak 2Ds in for around the car and for short walks? I'm surveying my options.

My Eastman #2 7x11 fits pretty neatly into a Tenba CC17 car case. The 8x10 might fit in the next smaller model, the CC15. But check the dimensions first. It's just a simple case, but well made and it won't break the bank.

I bought this $14 case just to protect the camera around the house, but it has proven to be excellent for my short hikes from the car and I don't see the need to replace it or upgrade. The light weight of the case and camera are key.

I hate to sound like a snob, but the value of the case should probably reflect the value of the camera. I wouldn't put a $5000 custom camera in an Igloo Cooler -- I'd pop to have AWB or Tenba make me a custom fitted job. But then again, I wouldn't go out and spend $200 on a case for a $200 camera either. Go to Target with your camera in the shopping cart and try a few cooler bags and ice chests on for size....

That's along the lines of what I was thinking. Perhaps I'll wait until I get to my Dad's place next. There's an army surplus store in Ogden to rival all others. They must have something that will work, and chances are that it won't be more than $20.

I use a Mars 85 Backpack that I bought at REI. It zips open so I can place the camera in the pack in position.

I didn't want to have one thing for short walks and another for hikes so I just used the f64 8x10 backpack for everything with my 2D. Why would you want to carry a 2D, plus holders, lenses, etc. by hand even for a short distance?
