Hello all and Happy 4th to you Americans out there. Just a quick question... is a Sinar 240mm f/5.6 Sinaron-S Lens actually a Rodenstock "S" lens or does Sinar change the "N" to a "S" to make it sound better.

I think the Rodenstock-N is the Sinaron-S, and the Rodenstock-S is the Sinaron-SE.

Great lens, super sharp. If the front barrel have the double white lines it's the equivalent of an Apo Sironar N. So I was told.
