I like the multi-pinhole method. I've used pinhole with bellows and ground glass, but never could get an image bright enough to see even under the dark cloth. Were you using a "viewing pinhole" (something like f/32 or f/64) to compose, or did you mount a lens, set up the camera, and then swap in the pinhole board?
If a contact print at arm's length is too small to see, you need a bigger camera. :D

Experimenting with a newly aquired Wollaston meniscus lens. Architecture photography is probably not the most common area for those lenses, but the light was nice that afternoon so I gave it a try.
