Recent KEH Ugly 5X7 Burke & James Rembrandt Home Portrait Model 1 1951 non folding

Came with 3 backs, 2 XENAR f4.5, 240 & 180 mm with caps and working Packard Shutter, factory installed with Sync. Even quick release mounts for the Packard enabling a fast repair. (I have NOS spare, just found on eBay)

A very practical modern box with metal GG Frames, locking focus, fine pitch gearing, rear rise and tilt only. It can handle any portrait lens as the front standard is thick wood, double bolted to the bed

Shot all images with camera and subject same distance, slight refocus for each back

The 2X3 slider back is fast to use, focus, shoot Grafmatic Film Back 6 shots very quickly or use roll film

The 5X7 Slider shoots 1/2 the 5X7 film, slide the back and shoot other half. Really quick and often catches the sitter in a better expression

    5X7 Back rotates

Big 6" lens boards will carry heavy Portrait lenses

Re: Show off your Large Format camera!

My first post here after joining the forum in 2012.....yes, this is how long it took me to take the plunge down LF inferno and it was mainly the outbreak of this stupid virus that did it for me. Finally I had some spare time to learn about the equipment and track down all the bits and pieces that would suit me. So finally, after about 4 months of intense research (of which I enjoyed every minute) here is my setup, the new Chamonix Alpinist X camera with various lenses from 150mm to 600mm, now the journey truly starts.

One of several, the one I’m using the most lately- Canham 8x10 Wood Field. The lens mounted is a 14” Commercial Ektar. Also in the arsenal are Canham 5x7, 5x12, and 14x17 cameras, a Sinar Norma 4x5/5x7, and a couple of Sinar F 4x5s that I use for teaching view camera technique.

That's just the cameras... lenswise, well... just for 8x10, there's the 159mm Wolly f12.5, a 190 Wide-Field Ektar, 210 f6.8 Wolly Raptar, 240 Docter Optic Germinar-W, 12" Commercial Ektar, 14" Commercial Ektar, and an 1863 Voigtlander that is probably in the 12" f3.5 range. For the 14x17 I have a 355 G-Claron and a 450 Nikkor-M, and in the works is a 600 Apo-Germinar that needs mounted to a shutter, and a Kodak 405 Portrait that needs mounted to a board. For the 5x7 I have in addition to the others already listed for the 8x10 a 240 Heliar, a 10.5" Cooke Series II, 275mm Hermagis Eidoscope, a 110mm Wide-Angle Dagor, a Darlot Hemispherique Extra Rapide #2, and some random anonymous 10"-ish brass petzval-esque thing. One day I'll put all the brassies together and do a family portrait. The big Voigtlander isn't pretty, but it is complete with all its glass elements, an original flange and an original waterhouse stop. Oh, and I forgot the outlier (don't know its intended format, but it's a T. Slater Daguerrian lens - no flange, so I haven't mounted it on anything yet. Playing around it seems like it covers, barely, 5x7, so it was probably intended for 1/4 plate).
