I need something that's fits a variety of kits and can handle a tripod strapped on.

And can go on the subway, gotta have wheels, good wheels for rough sidewalks.

It's the 1550. No wheels here but I wasn't worried about that, yet...this one is primarily for water protection in a canoe in case of an accident, and later on probably general storage. I bought two, the other is a bit larger, still no wheels - the ones with wheels were a bit more than I wanted to spend and besides they don't work well in the woods!

I agree different usage. Wheels are only for cities.

Canoes do tip over, been canoeing since baby.

Until lately I hadn't been on a boat since Boy Scouts. Last trip a friend tipped - something he said hadn't happened in 20 years. Flooded a good camera and lens, off getting repaired at the moment - that opened my eyes and so bought these cases. Going out again tomorrow actually!

My lovely Arca Swiss F-line 4x5" at Lower Howard's Creek, Clark Co., KY. I chose to carry this rather than my Horseman 45FA in the airports, on the airplanes, and around the forest. I'm so glad I did!

Nice setup. I have a very similar one for my Discovery. The 30cm rail combined with a 15 cm rail to slide off with the camera works great. I have an older ARCA A/B 5x7 rear format frame and a bellows that tapers to 171x171 at the front. Great multi-format camera.

Thanks. I enjoyed shooting this setup so much on the trails that it has me thinking seriously about an F-Field, to save some weight, but enjoy the same "user interface". Just trying to decide if I really want to spend the big $$ though. I envy your 5x7 format frame. Good to have a modular system, eh?

Yeah. It is nice. The Technika type adapter makes things very handy. As a result, I have not felt the need to spend lots of money on an F Field.
