In the first image I posted the camera was quite dark. I have the bag bellows on the camera (in this image) with a 135mm Symmar S lens. This tripod is heavier but it gets up higher than most tripods. I don't usually use the central column and have removed it and replaced it with a 6 or 8 inch one.

This is my favorite large format camera. I've had it for a number of years. I am the third owner. Peter Gowland gave it to photograher/collector/hollywood rental house maven and all around nice guy , Chick Donchin. Chick gave it to me. I used ta help him with projects etc.
That's the story of my Gowlandflex. Never for sale but I am curious as to value.

My 5x7 Deardorff camera was produced during WWII and uses round corner 4.5"x4.5" lens boards.

Thanks Gandolfi for posting the amazing picture of 10 Gandolfis. I have a 4x5 Precision (black, which they called ebonized and charged extra for, although actually I prefer the usual wood ones) and a full plate Universal. In fact I was using the 4x5 Precision yesterday with New55 instant film.

Great cameras - Great craftmanship. A joy to use, don't you think?
