Just wondering if you put you tailgate down would that give you enough room to stand behind the camera without walking on top of your cab? Nice shot btw, hard to beat a concrete arch bridge.

Christopher, Just get inside and punch it a few times. That's what I always did with my old full size blazer and the dents popped right our.

I've done that too, yeah sometimes you can pop it back.

I'm always amazed that people are satisfied with 50-60" tripods, as if they never consider shooting from a higher point of view. I bet they take a lot of photos of the tops of kid's heads because they never think to squat down either.

I'm not very tall. I wanted to get a little higher than that and didn't have a ladder or stepstool with me. Denting the roof doesn't really bother me. I just pushed it back out once I got inside and it's fine.

    Christopher,

Nice shot of the bridge. It bears a strange resemblance to the Colorado Street Bridge in Pasadena.

    I hope your truck survived!

It is the Colorado St. bridge across the arroyo. The truck is just fine. I use things; I don't overly baby them.

It's been wide open for a couple of months now. You can park at the front door and walk in with however much gear you want to carry. Not sure how much longer that will last, as I've seen city engineers inspecting and taking photos recently.
