    Polaroid 110a converted to 4x5

Work was done by a friend on another forum. Lens CLA'd by Carol Flutot (get well soon!). I'm enjoying shooting with it so far. Only issue has been the damn RF gets knocked out of alignment at the drop of a hat.

I've named it "The Rainmaker." Three of the four times I've taken it out, it brought on the rain. Not that we didn't need it, mind you...

Here's a fujiroid taken with it:

    Hello,
What is the camera back made from? Some sort of metal or wood? Was the rangefinder swapped out? It does not look like the original.
    Thanks
    Arthur

I have a couple of those things too. They are pretty simple to make actually and are a ton of fun to use. I am sure you will love it. I am jealous of your Polaroid holder. Those things are going for bucks now.

Arthur, the back is made from wood. What type I couldn't tell you as I didn't do the work. And yes, the RF was swapped. It came from a Polaroid 900.

Now there's an idea! I inherited one of these and use the lens on by Bender 4x5. The conversion project hadn't occurred to me.

    Any hints?

So the hard bit would be re-calibrating for the altered film plane?

And I've just worked out that that's done by screws on the front of the camera. So that's easy too.
