    Karsh Prints

I have 3 8x10 signed Karsh prints. Two are silver. One ,General James Doolittle, is I believe a platinum.(All his work I have seen is silver)
These are from the 1940's period. They are outstanding!
Would anyone make an observation or one with knowledge of Karsh, have an idea as to what film developers or papers portrait people would have been using in this timeframe?

I corresponded with H. Lynn-Jones, formerly of Calumet about Karsh a while back now and he mentioned something about Kodak Super-Panchro (?) which he processed himself in DK-50. I`m not sure of the B&W papers though.
