Many buyers did not like it

    Most likely out of production

I bought one BW King for 5x7 and 4x5, liked it a lot, and bought a second. They work very well, at least for me. The two that I have are both well-made and workable, especially when used as inversion tanks. I believe that they are out of production, or at least not advertised anymore. I was unable to find a third one to buy as a spare.

What makes you say that? I bought a 5x7 tank a couple of years ago, a few days after it arrived I tried to order another for 4x5 and am still waiting.

The tank is good, similar to the Nikor stainless tank except using cast metal not pressed. It is designed for rotary agitation like a Paterson tank, the spiral has little wheels on the bottom so it can spin easily. I never used it like that, only for inversion. The tank needs 1500mm of chemistry and it takes 20 to 30 seconds or longer to fill (the top opening isn't particularly large) and I was getting uneven development from the long fill times. I ended up using JOBO on a roller base. If I was to use it now I'd load it in a dark room or large change bag with the chemical in the tank and lower the spiral into it.

I say it because it is a fact, look on eBay, I have ordered both 5x4 and 5x7 in the last 48 hours.

That is my intention, mainly with the 5x7 reel, I also recently acquired a 5x7 combiplan having assumed that B&W King had gone for good.
