    Re: post your trees!

Here is like the 13th image I ever took on 4x5. Shot 3 years ago on D100 film. I had this developed for me. I think my skills have improved since then. I would like to visit this area again and try this shot again. I reprocessed it today, and it seems to have improve. I tried a sepia tone...

Nice, my nose can sense the pollen!

This is cool. Has a sense of 3D to it.

Bryan, I'm a fan of Clyde Butcher. Your take on Angel Oak is far superior. Exceptional.

    High praise Scott - thanks!

From his story, I think Clyde also felt pressure to get that "iconic" shot of Angel Oak! I saw a very large print of that photograph at one of his galleries - it's one of his modern shots on digital and inkjet printed. Doesn't have anywhere near the presence of his larger film/silver work IMO...

So many excellent prints posted here, love live oaks. Took this in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, 4x5, remember it was during a warm spell (in June). Some things I do not like and hope to correct some day. Reluctant to post, not real happy with the scan, monitor not calibrated so don't know if you see is what I see. Anyway, is what it is. It's 16x20 selenium toned. Hope you like it.
