Looks a bit underexposed on the Cactus. Also foreground is out of focus, but good start. Where at in AZ was this taken?

Thanks Steven, this is near Saddle Mtn, about 60 miles west of Phoenix. The distant peak is Buckhorn Mtn.

I think the negative is exposed OK, but my method of scanning with a digital camera and led light box leaves a bit to be desired. I keep trying more or less exposure compensation on the a6000 but haven't yet hit it quite right.

I'll keep trying to get the plane of focus better but it still seems quite tricky to me

4x5 shot with Chamonix 45HS-1. 30 Second exposure. Probably could have used some swing, but maybe not did use front tilt though. Extar 100, 75mm Nikkor at f/32. Definitely need a center spot filter with this lens. This is a working photo as I wanted to see if it was worth investing any time in and I believe it is. So, plenty of things I need to do. I didn’t remove any dust, but I didn’t see a whole lot. There are a couple of areas though need some hoover action.

Thanks Jon, I lived in Summerville for almost 3 years while I was at Boeing South Carolina before transferring back west. I almost bought a house there. My wife's favorite place was Magnolia Gardens and I have a few shots of the white bridge. Very nice gallery.

Thank you Steven and takpro! Here is another image fresh off the scanner This was my 1st time using the Arista E6 kit and I find that the colors are a little warmer and somehow there is grain visible on Velvia 50 which I always though was impossible. I hope Tetenal E6 is back in stock soon.

Very nice. Like the pattern of trees. I didn't notice grain, but then the jpg probably obscures them.

I practically lived at Magnolia Gardens for a few years. I still get a yearly pass, but have not spent as much time there recently. As far as my gallery is concerned, I have not updated it in about five years. I really need to do that. Too bad we did not meet while you lived here!
