Great start, Rainymac! I'm sure quite a few of us have experienced the challenges of format change to LF. And yes, what a pleasure it is, too!

This is one of my first large format images and my first image post to the forum. Despite finding the move from 35mm and medium format challenging, I've totally embraced large format. Trees were a perfect subject - they stayed still, didnt complain that it is taking forever for me to finally be ready to click the shutter nor did they have an opinion about the end result.
    Nicely done!

Thank you Philip for the encouragement. I've been surprised to find that I'm much more interested in landscapes that I am with digital photography where my prime interests are portraiture and macro. Large format is giving me a different way of seeing. It's great.

Lovely image Jason. Excellent presentation with the Ektar without the usual space ship highlights.

Thanks! You're kind of in the right area to know about space ship shapes in LF photos.

Sometimes I like the unusual highlights or swirl, but sometimes it's nice without. It's the only sharp lens I'm carrying around these days with my 4x5 so it's getting some practice.
