Thanks JP. You have posted two very interesting pictures. Is that the effect of the lens??
Most of the effect is from the lens. A tiny bit from the PMK developer which is somewhat low contrast. The wollaston meniscus basically makes my 4x5 camera a large holga, but more versatile and thus challenging. 1 fstop difference in aperture, and it's whole different style of photo.

As I was driving through Rainier, Oregon, my girlfriend yelled for me to stop because she saw this. I guess we have a knack for finding piles of dead trees.

Cut and stripped trees communing with their intact brethren.

A funny story about this one; I was driving past this on my way to Prineville, Oregon. The light wasn't right, so I figured I'd take a picture on my way back. On the way back, I missed my turn and ended up having to turn around in a trailer park just past it on the highway. I had just taken this picture when a guy on an ATV zooms up, locks up his brakes, and hops off, yelling at me that I should apologize. It turns out that part of the patch of dirt I'd turned around in was his front yard. Even though there'd been no kids or dogs around, I decided I should defuse the situation doing what he wanted, which was to apologize for endangering his kids and dog by driving across a corner of his "lawn." He insisted on shaking my hand, then hopped back on his ATV and zoomed off back down the highway.

People like that often just want to have their feelings acknowledged and be respected - sounds like you handled the situation perfectly!

Not sure if I am quite finished with the printing on this one. Butler Creek near the family lakehouse. I think I'm going to print the bottom right corner down a bit more. Bothering me. Have to be careful with this one not to get it too contrasty.

This one was taken with my Eastman 2D 5x7 and an old Ilex Paragon 8.5" anastigmat. I don't recall the exposure information, but the film was HP5 developed in Pyrocat.

Rework of an image after a 3 day printing workshop with Charles Cramer (great class btw, highly recommended).
