    Thanks, Bryan--just the few times I've shot the 135/5.6 I have noticed it has a propensity for flaring. I'm pretty religious about lens hoods for my 135/6x7 kit, but haven't got a system for my LF lenses yet. (I suppose I could just use my hat, but LF seems to have a knack for making you run out of hands...)

    At any rate, I'm definitely enjoying learning about film--this scene would have been a torture test for a digital sensor.

    Shot some more 5x7 today to test film holders.

    Mercury 5x7 ultrawide body, Schneider 72mm XL, Fuji HR-T x-ray film, dev'd in Rodinal 1:100 for 5 minutes:

    One of the reasons you pull the dark slide is to use it as a lens shade.
