    Lovely, that's a very impressive environment that you're exploring. A question: with the vertical tree trunks in the background, can I assume that you didn't use much if any front tilt? (FWIW, my first wide angle lens just arrived in the mail today, so I'm interested in finding out just how DOF I can get just from using a small aperture.)

    If I remember rightly I used a small amount of back tilt to get the plane going from the beginning of the root to somewhere about half way up the trees or a bit higher. Those top branches overhangs quite a lot so there is no need for much tilt.
    Can't be sure but aperture is probably f22 or higher.I rather take some diffraction to gain depth of field.

    Interesting pair of photos. I like the Hyperion image a lot. Every time you post an image from the Hyperion I look them up on eBay and get disappointed at the price .
