Acros is my new heroin - about as hard to get

Why is it so hard to get Neopan Acros 100 in sheet film? I can't be the only one addicted to this stuff and yet I find myself buying as much as I can get away with from Badger when they get it in and then hording in my basement until I run out and have to wait again. They sell the Readyload stuff all over the place but not the sheet film.

If you don't mind paying a small premium, you can always import some yourself via Megaperls to cover any dry spells:

I never noticed a problem, and it's the main bw film I use. I get mine at Samy's Camera. Always in stock in 4x5 sheets and quickloads, and 120 rolls, too.

They don't list it on their website. They list it in 120 but not in 4x5, so I guess they don't ship it.

    Hi Norm,

A lot of retailers don't consistently update their inventory via real time point-of-sales systems. So, I can imagine the challenges of updating their websites if they're sold out of a particular item.

The best thing to do is to give them a telephone call and ask them what they have in stock... and get them to go over and physically pick the item up.

As an alternative retailer... you can also contact Jeff at Badgergraphic.com. He's was my go-to person for 5x7 Provia and Velvia (when I was shooting 5x7.) The Canadian distributor doesn't bring it into Canada.

Best of luck in locating some Acros.

    Cheers

BTW, unfortunately, I'm sure heroin is much easier to get on the open market!

Jim at Midwest Photo might have some too. I got some 8x10 from him at the View Camera conference earlier this year.

I have experienced a shortage maybe because you have it in your basement
I only deal with badgers they don't seem to have it in stock all the time. Mainly in 5x4 they only have quickloads at the moment, which i don't use for B&W.I stand corrected Jeff at badgers has 5x4 sheets in stock !!cheers Gary

Norm, Midwest has plenty of 25 sheet box on the shelf. At least 20 boxes there, as of yesterday. Give Jim a call, he will be back tomorrow.
