I'm processing Tmax 100 8x10 film on a Jobo 3005 Expert Drum and I routinely notice light colored streaks and occasionally water spots on many of my negatives.
My current process involves loading 5 films into the 3005, soak in water for about 2-3 minutes, develop with TMax RS developer for 7.5 minutes at 68 degrees, rinse in water for 1 minute, quick fix for 4 minutes, rinse in water 1 minute, perma-wash 2 minutes, then water rinse and Photo flow.
One thing to note, I am using a Beseler motor base to agitate the drum and I am loading the developer as the tank is standing before putting it onto the motor base. I do not rotate the tank in the opposite direction, the rotation stays in the same position during the full 7.5 minutes of the developer process. Could the streaks be caused by the developer flowing in at different rates into the tank as I pour it in? Should I fill the developer in when the 3005 is already rotating in the Beseler motor?
I'm attaching a picture below that shows an example of what I'm talking about. If you look at sky; at the top right, you can see a light line next to the wave, and at the sky on the top left, you can see faint outlines of water spots.
Any help is appreciated.
