Chassis, many thanks. Yes, I had 2 lights - a softbox in the back looking down and a gridded light to camera left. I double exposed the frame since I only had a single aux cable for my Pocket Wizards...the gridded light was pointed toward the camera (90 degrees) and positioned just in front of the flowers, to feather minimal light to the front of the subject and avoid total darkness. The negative looks really thin, and mostly is - but the overall effect is almost exactly what I had in mind, which made me happy - no Polaroid or digital preview, I just shot this after metering the key light.
