Twelve Ikebanas following the styles of the Ikenobo school in Kyoto, Japan. Shot in-camera on 12"x16" Imago Positive Paper (mostly with a Fujinon-C 600/11.5) and mounted as a Japanese scroll <掛軸> respecting classical measurements (last pix in the sequence as an example).

Hey Thomas. Sorry for my late reply. Well, I think is a number of factors.
First, the lens is super soft, and even with a DIY f/10 stop, is still showing softness.
Then, the caps/ f-stop might have some tiny light leak while taking the photo, which I doubt...but aso, I have no shutter in any of my lenses.
But I think the main factor here is the film itself. When it comes to edges, sharp and details, x-ray film delivers. But here, the background being so soft, even with long pre-wash and all, this has happened in other photos as well, where there is more softness.
Also, very hard sideways light in the evening, would be a factor.
Im glad you liked the photo. I might try some similar ones soon, since I think I have improved the general contrast and looks of the negatives with the exposure and developing times (mainly agitation and concentration)
Regards,
Agustin.
Hey Hugo. Thanks for your words.
I was just experimenting a bit, mainly to increase the contrast of the negative, and also since I don't have a shutter in any of my lenses, the polariser helped with a longer exposure time.
The original exposure was 1/500 with no f/10 stop and no polariser.
Regards,
Agustin.
