    Milwaukee Show

"Between the City that Works and the Land of Enchantment" moves from the Schneider Gallery in Chicago to Milwaukee:

    The Dean Jensen Gallery
    759 N. Water St.
    Milwaukee, WI, 53202

    September 15th-October 13th
Artists reception, Saturday, October 15th 4-8 pm

I am part of this group show, mainly of distinguished academics (with the exception of me, I am not an academic), that opened July 6th at the Schneider Gallery in Chicago and is now at the Dean Jensen Gallery in Milwaukee. The exhibit includes artists who have strong ties to Chicago and New Mexico. Many went to school at the University of New Mexico and now teach at the School of the Art institute of Chicago and vise versa. Artists included are:

    Barbara DeGenevieve
    Thomas Barrow
    Alan Labb
    Joyce Neimanas
    Patrick Nagatani
    Nora Herting
    Wafaa Bilal
    Julia Hechtman
    Javier Carmona
    Adrienne Salinger
    and myself of course.

The written introduction for the show has some nice things to say:

I am definitely the token "old school" photographer of the show.
    Thanks,

"Old School", I know the feeling. I would love to be able to see the show. Perhaps you could convince them to bring it to the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, Va.

The plan is to repackage it and go to New Mexico next.

    Hi Kissy-Kissy people,
I do the web design for Dean Jensen, was wondering if you might have any additional documentation from this show?
The few images I've seen have been great, but I recently moved from Milwaukee to NY and have been unable to see the show in person (or otherwise)...are there other images out there?

Contact Wafaa Bilal. He was the main curator. I will send you his email address via email.
