    Adams, Porter, Clift, Exhibit

There is a very nice exhibit of Ansel Adams, Elliot Porter and William Clift on through Sept. 5th at the Art Institute of Chicago entitled "The Earth As It Was". It includes many classic prints and a few I have never seen before.

Also a show, "On the Scene" through 9/3 of very contemporary work by Kota Ezawa, Sarah Hobbs, and Angela Strassheim is worth seeing though not my cup of tea.
    Thanks,
    Kirk

That would be a great show to see Kirk, only wish I was closer to it.

William Clift has long been one of my favorite photographers.

Thanks and hope you are having fun in Chicago!

Chicago is amazing this time. Great weather, good students, superb architexture. To top it off they put me up in the primo Visiting Artist condo on the 25th floor of 320 N. Michigan Ave. ....Sweet. I feel blessed.

Today we were shooting the Chicago Cultural Center for a new brochure/website and I ran across a great exhibit by a photographer I have never heard of before, German Herrera. Someone to watch.

Superb imagery and a first rate pigment ink printer.

Hi Kirk, Dittos on the links. I especially liked German Herra's work. Shows you don't have to go out into the wilderness to get some amazing shots. I'm glad you enjoying the windy city. Too bad you couldn't get to the View Camera Conference, I have a friend who will be attending who was looking forward to meeting you. Anyway best wishes to you. You too Eric.
