    220V enlarger timer with footswitch

I would like to add a enlarger timer with footswitch to my darkroom and the electricity is 220V on our side. But most gralab on ebay is 110V. May I know whether the 110V timer could be used? My enlarger is also using 220V. Anyone has timer for sale? To free my hand, I want the matching footswitch also.

I'm not going to sell any timer cos i don't have one & never have one...
I think it's a simple, if your voltage 220v and then you have 110v timer, you only need a step down transformator, and you can find in any electronic store near to you. You can't use 110v timer with 220v current voltage, cos it's going to blown away...
And if you want to free your hand, just like me, use audible metronom.

In addition to the voltage difference you may also have a different grid frequency. The US use 60Hz whereas in Europe it is 50Hz. It may not be an issue but it depend on the timers electronics. Most electronics can operate on both 50 and 60 since the grid voltage is transformed to DC from AC. But you will still need to use a step down Trafo as mentioned.
You can use a 110V timer for a 230V enlarger, you just need to buy a 110V relay or contactor large enough for the enlargers consumtion. Let the 110V timer activate the 110V relay but connect 230V to the contact function on the Relay going to the enlarger.
I use an 230V RH Stop Clock Proffesional in the US on 115V with a relay on the output instead of the Enlarger.
If you don't have any experience working on electrical circuits you may be better of letting a Pro build a simple little box with a relay inside and a 230V socet on the outside.
    Hope this will work
