    basic questions-please help

    If anyone knows the answers to these I would really appreciate it.


    1. What's the most commom type of camera?
    a.SLR c. medium format
    b. large format d. point & shoot
    2. To increase the distance in sharp focus, you must:
    a. decrease lens opening size c. reduce shutter speed
    b. increase lens opening size d. none of the above
    3. After making a print, the frame of the picture that is normally white has a gray cast to it. This is because:
    a. developer not mixed correctly c. paper exposed
    b. fixer exhausted d. paper underexposed
    4. Type of camera that does not usually have any means of focusing or controlling the sizeof the lens opening:

    Come on everyone, give beechblond a break. Answers are

    1 - b. Large Format
    2 - b. Increase lens opening size
    3 - d. Paper underexposed
    4 - c. SLR
    5 - No, the times are always exactly the same.
    6 - Yes
    7 - Infrared film

    1. D (point & shoot, which includes cell phones)
    2. A. (decrease lens opening size, ie aperture)
    3. C (paper exposed to light)
    4. D (viewfinder - whatever that is. The other choices are clearly wrong.)
    5. Yes (frequently does)
    6. Yes - among other potential causes
    7. Slide (reversal) film

    It's called "toning", quite popular with B&W folks and enhances archival durability, particularly if selenium is used; Pt/Pd is another favorite choice.
