    Digital Ansel Adams prints

Not your usual Ansel Adam's photo's:

"UCR/California Museum of Photography is proud to present a group of digital prints produced from original negatives in its Sweeney/Rubin Ansel Adams Fiat Lux Collection. Ansel Adams created this body of work in the mid-1960s for the University of California's Centennial."

Adams had to eat. He also shot for Boys' Life magazine in the 60's too.

Just another working pro trying to get by.

Gee, in the famous Playboy interview 20 years ago he had unkind things to say about nude photography. Who would have thought he was in secret a breast man?

in many states, a model isn't considered nude if her nipples are covered by pasties. or (i assume) by a milking machine.

I live in Riverside where the UCR Museum of Photography is.
They have in the past offered Adams prints from his negatives printed by local (authorized) printer and photographer, Herb Quick, also a Riverside native.

    Here's a bio on Herb:

I didn't know they were selling inkjets...though not surprised as the museum is very digital oriented. They have a marvelous in house collection for any interested in traveling out this way, but unfortunately only show a dozen or so of these. Nice collection of cameras as well.

Shows in the last few years have been very disappointing to me.
Currently though, Alec Soth's "Mississippi" series is showing...and interesting to see "live".

Ok, the plug for Riverside is done..

That's udderly rediculous. Nudity is nudity, even if covered by clothing or machinery.

Not to milk the metaphor any further, but covered/obscured nudity would be considered "implied nudes" among Internet models (even those of the cow kind, I'd suppose).

Sorry to interrupt the cow humor and nudity stream of thought...

So the real question is are the prints representative of the negatives themselves or has dodging and burning been applied in Photoshop to emulate wet darkroom prints with Ansel's interpretations in mind?
