    Chamonix ground glass protector question...

    Hi,

I've bought a used Chamonix 045N-1 camera. All looks fine (apart from one of the lock-nuts being missing, but I can easily replace that).

However, I have a question about the screen protector. Mine seems very dificult to fit / remove. Looking at the protector it looks like the holes where it attaches are offset (see picture). I don't know if I have a defective protector or if it's meant to be like this and I just don't know how to attach / remove it.

The holes on the bottom are 15mm from the edge. The ones on the top 21mm from the edge. It means the protector catches on the back of the camera.

    Thanks.

It is not symmetrical and only fits on one way, you have to raise the ground glass holder a bit and slide it under the screws, hope this helps!

Thanks. That makes sense - I was trying to fit it while the ground glass holder was flush with the camera.
