Weegee and Gilden with a splash of Arbus but with the dance moves of Alec Soth

Anyone of you make photos Weegee style with crown or speed graphics? How did it go? Those 6 sheet holders easy to load and use?

This may sound like I am joking around but I’m not. I want explore making photos like this. Do not worry, though, they will not go in a zine. I’ll probably print big and wheat paste them to the sides of buildings and have friends graffiti over them.

    Yes, many do Weegee style

Meaning handheld, always a flash bulb and preset focus for DOF

I just posted one of 4 people in a bar using a very simple P&S 4X5

    Look it up

Enlighten me, who is many that currently do it? Off the top of your head, name your two favorites. And why.

Let me guess, you own stocks in flash bulbs.

I ascribe to the 100th Monkey method

This shot 10 years ago, 4X5 new plastic camera, 90mm lens, 1 flash bulb

This plastic camera was used for the Bar shot

It has been replaced by a nearly identical camera Printed in Norway
