    That is an odd tilt axis. It is behind the ground glass. I wonder how that works in practice?

    The Shen-Hao has this (both base axis tilt and mid-axis tilt) on the FRONT instead of the REAR.

    Are you sure? I saw the tilt axis in front of the gg and between the base and the center of the back.

    Appears to function like this but I'm not fully sure how it works, without it in my hands. Maybe it is just the perspective in the image and it actually is pivoting right at the ground glass rather than behind it. Clever design.

    It's just a perspective issue. You'll need a direct side view to get a better idea of the true arc center.
