    Balloon Photography

This caught my attention and I found it intriguing, so I thought I'd share:

These were large format photographers and cameras given the time period
(if this crosses the line, please delete.)

Didn't the Chinese invent aerial photography from a balloon?

Haha. The first aerial photographs were made by Nadar, in 1860s Paris. And wet plates, at that!

    Plus, he invented airmail

"The Great Nadar" by Adam Begley is a fascinating read. Nadar was quite the character and endlessly inventive, and self-promoting. I think he would have loved today's social media.

Doesn't seem like large format is the best choice for Baboon photography, maybe if they are sleeping.

The nice thing about balloons is that they pop. ... some more dramatically than others (like the Hindenburg).

The fabled Cliff House in San Francisco had a collection of ULF prints circa post '06 Earth Quake.
I seem to recollect at least one of those was shot from a balloon.
I sure miss those Cliff House popovers.

Saw *Elvis* few years ago over ABQ. Ha ha ha, never seen him in Vegas (Hilton) when he was performing & I was there next door at Nellis. Don't mean to derail anything, but those days one could rent horses and check out various venues even one block from the strip. But, we progress.....

On occasion I noticed there is real life outside the GG/viewfinder.
