    Restoring a Horseman Woodman 45 - Best place for parts?

    I am restoring a vintage Horseman Woodman 45 and will be needing parts, etc for the job.

    Where should i look?

    Someone might know who actually made it, but regardless, a lot of the parts are interchangeable with other camera brands, such as Tachihara, Nagaoka, Wista, etc. A lot depends on the part(s) you need. Some modification might be needed -- and whether you want to return things to "stock" condition or not.

    I thought Horseman Woodman cameras were dark brown color? Regardless, as xkaes says, the hardware on most Japanese cameras is very similar, though you might need to modify them.

    Or maybe someone asked for that color. Japanese camera makers were quite accommodating. I've seen many variations of popular wooden cameras.

    That's good to know. I thought it might be custom. I have never seen another like it.
