So I finally got my 4x5 box camera to work again. Shutter now fires (reliably), and I replaced mirrors in viewfinders so I can actually use them. Have one unopened box containing one dozen Eastman UNIVERSAL 4x5 glass plates. I assume that the glass plates are orthochromatic... good assumption or not? Figure to shoot on sunny days using the "instantaneous" shutter setting. Planning on processing in Diafine... is there a better choice? With 12 unexposed plates, I have figured on shooting six images in six locations in town. Who knows I may get lucky and get maybe ten final images!!!!
Any advice on how to proceed is appreciated.
