    Election Eclipse - 11/8/22, on 4x5

Got up this morning at 2am and drove to Jackson Street Bridge just east of Atlanta. Clouds fouled the shot at the start but the moon emerged for the most part.

    Shot with a Shen-Hao 4x5, with Rodenstock 90mm f/6.8 and a 2-stop GND filter put upside-down to filter the foreground as the exposure was 2 hours at f/16. T-Max 100, dev'd in Pyrocat 1:1:100. Cropped 2:3

Wonderful light and texture and composition.
I’m intrigued by that one car.

Thanks y'all. I'm also always puzzled on the abandoned cars. Seems like there is always one or more when I've been there.

    Fun, Bryan!

An older image as I was leaving Yosemite. I used just the element on the back of a TR on the 5x7 (28" or 710mm). An exposure every 10 minutes -- until the cold air froze the shutter and I did not discover the shutter did not close until the next exposure. Should have taped a yellow filter to the front of the shutter! (Contact print onto postcard paper)

Tough times mean deferred maintenance, more breakdowns, and unfortunate abandonments. That goes for our cars, too.

    Corran, well done sir.
Vaughn, a fine picture despite your difficulty.
