Thank you Carl! I sent Jose a message and ordered one. Now all I need is to find a good deal on a 240 Rodagon.

    Hi Daniel,

Sounds good. Jose was nice to deal with.

One thing (I'm still in the process of setting this all up) but it looks like I might be having an issue around vignetting at smaller enlargement sizes (I'm aiming to make 11x14 enlargements, but 16x20 looks to be ok) with the 45V-XL but maybe that should be on another thread (it seems this has come up before around the 45V-XL)? I don't think it has anything to do with the lens board, however.

I think I saw a good deal on the 240mm 5.6 on Keh just the other day.

    I may PM you.

    Carl

I expect my Intrepid DeVere head today

Got a thank you from Intrepid for my LFPF DeVere dissertation

    I AM a GEAR head

Ever since the bigger brothers picked on me

I need to find the print of me ramming their bicycles with my all steel pedal car, mid 50's

    TC,
I too am a gear head. Especially when it comes to darkroom stuff. Looking forward to hearing about your experience with this head. Maybe there could be a Beseler version coming. Beseler colorheads are mostly bad or nearly so. I'm in renovation mode in my darkroom, so much fun.
    Best Regards Mike

    a delay until Friday

I will not do an unboxing video, not my kind of fun

I am resting for a moment and making room for the DeVere 504 chassis with removable base

Cleared the path, removed the heavy DIY Alt Print Box that was sitting on the Elwood base

and now I see if I can still lift a 5X7 Elwood enlarger on it's base

Must remove the HAT, oops the Lamp Dome, irreplaceable!

Got it on a Poly Box I have used outside for 25 years, Rubbermaid. Very tough stuff.

Now I can slide it on my vinyl floor and use it as horizontal projector

Tomorrow I get the DeVere out of shed and up onto the empty DR slot which is a Beseler CB7 support table

I put the blue bellows extension to show how it fits for reductions

Those 8x10 Elwood domes are like a mirror on the inside.

I moved my 8x10 Zone VI to another room, still have a 5x7 Zone VI to move, then probably 3 Beselers. I'm installing a 3rd sink. Then re-install 2 to 4 enlargers???. Better than sitting back and doing nada!

    Hi all,

How’s the performance of this new LED head in printing B&W, compared to original DeVere color head?

    Thanks
    Jack
